Sammy von Sigmund

Sammy von Sigmund is a 5 month old coated German Shepherd puppy! He is a big boy, weighing in at 57 pounds already. Sammy was hit by a car and left for dead. He had a broken hip socket and ribs when Westside took him in and gave him the medical attention he needed. Now, post surgery he is recuperating nicely. He has a temporary limp but will have no long term effects. He doesn't even allow his limp to get in the way of everyday activities. Sammy runs after a ball, plays tug of war with his foster siblings and goes on walks. The strength in his leg is coming back with each passing day. Soon, he will be as good as new. Sammy is a puppy but he has excellent house manners, is housebroken, knows commands (sit, paw, stay, lay down) and is the most affectionate, mellow, love bug around! He likes to plop his big body down on his human and be held like a baby. He also likes to plop down on his foster siblings and try to cuddle. He is great with cats! He currently lives with two cats and he is so gentle, even letting one cuddle with him. Sammy plays the most with his small dog foster-sibling but he gets along well with the other large dogs in the home, too. When not playing, he amuses himself chewing on toys, lounging on a dog bed while his foster mom works. He sleeps on the bed of the foster family's teenage daughter and she says he is like a giant teddy bear, snuggled up to her all night. Sammy recently met children and did very well with them. If you are looking for an easy, gentle, mellow, fully trained love bug, Sammy is your man. His adoption fee is $445.
